Research file

Date the object, not the vibe.

Cases use conservative, recognizable object forms. An item is flagged only when the depicted mature technology is clearly later than the room, not because an obscure precursor was absent. Research trails include the Smithsonian, Science Museum Group, Museo Galileo, Victoria and Albert Museum, British Museum, National Park Service, Natural History Museum, Royal Museums Greenwich, and Computer History Museum.

The evidence-report categories distinguish material, mechanism, infrastructure, and basic chronology. They are teaching lenses, not claims that technologies always have one cause or one invention date. Specific object dates are independently paraphrased, adoption varied by place and means, and ambiguous edge cases are excluded from the winning set.

No museum image, catalogue copy, brand identity, or competitor level is bundled or reproduced. All case writing, marks, interfaces, layouts, and selections are original.
